Liquid-crystal projectors and the fixed pixel type of rear projection TV sets use image displays characterized by their high luminance and high precisions. Because they use point light sources such as high-pressure mercury lamps, they have heterogeneous radiation surfaces (with a homogeneity degree of approximately 50%) with four dark corners. The use of Integrator Lens (lens arrays) for optical lighting systems provide a periphery-to-center radiation  ratio of at least 85% on the radiation surface, thus supporting screens of high quality.
